I wanted to tell you that 5 PLY Fingerboard Magazine April 2011 is finished and available for sell at amazon.com. The magazine is 48 color pages with FB history, interviews, pictures a FB scene report from the Philippines and more. the purpose of the magazine is to promote fingerboarding internationally and I hope to see the Philippines represented in future issues as well, thanks

Im curious about the source where you collated the history of fingerboards in the phils, because way back in 2000, there was an underground group of fingerboarders in makati and villamor air base named “Fingerboard Scapeplan”, 4 members in makati city and 7 in Villamor pasay city. It was the rarest and early foundation of Phillipine fingerboarding.... i was lucky to be a one of the 4 core members in Makati city.

I don’t know if i can have the former members contacted, it was just an informal group back then, couple of guys sharing the same passion of fingerboarding... FB was not popular then in the Phil and it was our own way of binding together as mates and not as finger boarders. We never foresaw the overwhelming development of finger boarding in the Phil and the huge transition from hobby to mere passion so it was an afterschool getaway. I took my own path nevertheless held fingerboarding integrated in my system. Now im observing these guys, the predetermined “New Generation of Fingerboarders”, watching every step and notch of where this miniature skateboard will lead “them” and “us”. More and more claimed they started it and made it huge, but never did they witnessed the dawning of pinoy fingerboarding long ago, when no one cared and stared, there it was in front of them.... More power 5 ply, i’ll get those in a jiffy man..

You’re approximately 12 years old back in 2000 fifth, and you will not enjoy the scene back then because no one knew about fingerboards and stuff, no teams, no forums, no GOS, it’s all PLASTIC boards man... you’re lucky fifth cause right now, you’re just 23 years old and enjoying the COMPLEX WORLD of fingerboarding....

i had fun, if i did'nt enjoy, i should have stop a long time a ago..

agree ako dito! yan din kwento sakin ng tropa ko na matagal ng nagfifingerboard!

@lawiboi, kaya nga na curious ako dun sa history niya at tinatanong ko kung anong resource niya... kasi matagal na akong naglalaro with old friends pero never nman na accounted ung samahan namin sa pinoy fingerboarding scene... gaya nga ng sabi ko... it was an afterschool getaway... mga kalaro ko ng techdeck puro anak ng sundalo sa Villamor, namatay na nga ung isa pero wala nmang nabanggit oh nailathala ng tungkol dun... anyways.. interesado akong mabasa ung article para malaman ko roots nung storya

@chino, no one is claiming, but the contributors should be recognized. Bike Vergara should be in that Mag.Many pinoy fingerboards should be included. The timelines of the article should carried out the early years when pinoys started fingerboarding...

@red: I agree on this statement..taga cainta si fifth..at early 2000 ang eksena ay sa RIZAL, dun lang ako nakakita ng maraming naglalaro den..sta.lucia mall cainta rizal ang spot..may spot den sa ali mall tindahan ng magic card pero konti lang naglalaro..do ko naririnig na may spot pa sa iba..parang wala naman..at wala akong naririnig na nagpauso nun..tininda lang bigla yun at nakakinganyo laruen.

mga sir, nung 1999, kung familiar kayo sa Blackstrawberry shop sa makati, sa tapat nun sir mismo tambayan ng mga fingerboarder at tattoo artirts, sama mo pati nagdedreadlocks sa makati.... wala na ung Blackstrawberry shop, kasamang sumabog sa glorrieta blast... nasa Jupiter street makati na ung mga artist ng shop na yun...

alam ko yung shop na yun..yung may mga tindang djembe at iba pang kung anu anung wirdong bagay nasa sulok ng glorieta...bago pa ang techdeck dito may mga fingerboard na iba ang tatak sa melrose skateshop...same year may nilabas na techdeck sa BoyzToyz skateshop..at nagkaroon sa malls.ang mga scene lang noon eh pag nagpapcompi ang techdeck.pero sa sta.lucia regular ang laro..kakamiss..oo hindi uso ang "game of skate date"..pero nageexist na yung ganun concept ng laro na tinatawag na HORSE.

Hello, I don't think the writer intended the article to be a real deep history of your FB scene it's more like what's current in this guys world. If anybody wants to write an article that reflects more of your FB history the way you see it I would love to publish that.
