THIS IS IT! Mystic riddim'z Experimental Tape

Hi guys its my pleasure introduce to you the latest tape made by Mystic Riddim'z. He designed it strictly for fingerboard unlike neotape or other tapes they are designed for other purpose like leather goods, neoprene products and etc. (We just altered it for fb's to make foam-tapes affordable). I'm not degrading our own neotape it will still be the cheapest. This is another option.This tape was made from raw material! We can adjust the texture and density of the product to satisfy pro-fingerboarders preference its not ordered/imported precut or whole sheet its made from liquid chemicals up to its final form. Astig diba?

What is a good tape? For me a good tape should be dense (siksik) and will jive with the texture or my fingerpads. Personally I tried Riptape, Mantra, Neotape, Griptape and FBS. Till this afternoon i was a big FBS fan but let's admit it it's a little expensive because its imported from another country (No disrespect to bike we owe it all to him) but Jamee went to my house and gave me his experimental tape i suddenly realize this item is better than FBS. On what basis or category? Here are few points that i will discuss if you have questions feel free to pm and ask me.

Texture: (My Rating 10/10)
As i touch the prototype it really feels like worn fbs (ganun ka kapit pero di dumidikit sarap!) And its like soft gum and i was overwhelmed when he told me he can still change the texture because he made it from liquid form.

Dimension: (My Rating 10/10)
This tape is so thin much like FBS and Riptape. Well nothing much to say on this just check the photo.



Quality and Durability (My Rating 10/10)
As we all know tapes are easy to break when our FB is used for about a month or 2 the tapes are rapidly worn out but what's different with this tape well here's the secret. This is actually made of 2 mixtures of compound the upper portion 90% of the tape is a material similar to neoprene but its not neoprene (the chemical is classified) and the bottom layer like 10% (Gapapel sa nipis) is made with RUBBER! So what right? Well the upper portion is for traction the lower portion is for elasticity it will make the tape more durable. Well check the photo below lets see if you can see the rubber...



Well here it is. Check the bottom part of the tape there's a thin layer of rubber.

Let's wrap this up, this item is not yet available and still subject for testing. I will leave you with a short video showing the installation of the prototype and check out how many hard strokes i did before the tape was shaved for fbs/neo in 3-5 strokes the tape is already shaved. But with this one it takes an average of 14 strokes before it'll come off.

Tuloy na sir jhogs. Sana kayanin ko ma-produce lahat on-time. Dami na din kasi orders. Na-try din kasi ito ng mga friends ko sa Canada. gusto lang din syempre natin magkaron tayo ng locally produced good quality FB products gaya ng ginagawa ng mga foreign countries para sa FB scene nila. Tulad ng sinimulan ni 'sir bike' para naman sa scene dito sa'tin.

If everything turns out right (mga kausap ko sa raw materials), may mga ibang FB tuning products pa tayo ilalabas sa future na abot kaya din po.

***EXPERIMENTAL TAPE UPDATE***

The tapes are ready to go, after months of rigid testing. I guess it's time to brand the tapes a name they would carry.
I earlier posted a picture of the first phase of the tape production. But because I made some final tweaks on the tape during the second production, the first produced tapes won't be sold like the final ones. I won't be putting them on a package. Quality control should be strict if we are to produce high grade products. I'm not saying that the first ones have defects or poor quality. Both tapes hold the same amount of traction or grip. It's just that on the second production I've decided to make the rubber at the bottom thinner to make it lighter. (as explained by 'Edge': "The tape is actually made of 2 mixtures of compound the upper portion 90% of the tape is a material similar to neoprene but its not neoprene (the chemical is classified) and the bottom layer like 10% (Gapapel sa nipis) is made with RUBBER! So what right? Well the upper portion is for traction the lower portion is for elasticity it will make the tape more durable."
I've also adjusted the feel, but not affecting the original texture and density, for comfort through long hours of play.
Lastly, I want to announce that the tapes would be available on the 27th at the Confisk8s National GOS Competition. Thanks.

sir jhogs sana nga dumami pa kayong mga open minded. at di takot sumubok ng bago. yung iba kasi nakabase nalang sa dinidictate ng fad o dahil imported. i'm not expecting too much. alam naman natin yung colonial mentality. kahit ok ang product mo, pero gawang local, skeptic sila. pero kakatuwa din kasi dami na nagtry nung naka-kabit sa set-up ko. nagustuhan agad nila. kasi kahit bagong kabit kapit na agad. di mo na kelangan antayin mag-wear. yun kasi isang concept sa design nung tape. comfortable daw at swak agad yung feel.

i'll tell you frankly sirs. di ako masyado decided sa price dahil may kamahalan raw materials. pero pinilit ko maging affordable sya na hindi mag-suffer ang quality. kaso kelangan na natin ilabas dahil dami na gusto gumamit.
150per sheet po.

pasensya na po dun sa nagsuggest na gayahin ko ang isang sikat na brand ng FB tape sa pakiramdam pag hinawakan pa lang(i won't name it but i think we all know the brand:) )
Sorry po but I can't and I won't do that. what we're making is innovation not immitation. huwag naman po pati sa FB tape e 'pirated' pa din ang hahanapin natin. peace.
In creating the tape i studied the existing one's. took the good qualities. I also took inputs from different FB riders.
the tape design itself is different. i used two compounds. a type of hybrid polychloroprene on top for traction and a very thin layer of nylon rubber at the bottom to bind the tape and make it more durable. this took me almost two years to finalize.

nice work sir mystic... naiintindihan kana naman po siguro ng lahat bakit ginawa ito.. tama po,hindi immitation but innovation... mabuti nman po ung intention kong bakit ginawa ito eh hindi yung para kalabanin yung iba(you know what i mean) para saatin and para makatulong sa iba.. ok nga yun eh kasi we are using our own brand i mean our local brand yung sariling ating gawa.... almost disame quality but in a lower price diba... nakatulong pa tayo sa iba at sa fb scene ntin dito sa ph... 4 sure maraming natutuwa nito db...

Awesum tape! I'm really glad things are moving for our fingerboard scene, lots of really good tapes are coming out and I can tell you, this is one of the good tapes for sure!
